South Shores Autumn Breeze

Updated 9/28/2010 - Breezy is my 11 year old female lab. She has produced two wonderful litters in which I have kept a pup from each.  Breezy has traveled the country with me hunting from Maine to Florida, through the Midwest and out to Montana.  She has proven to be an excellent hunting dog from ducks to upland birds. At about 55 to 58 lbs, Breezy is built to run. Her endurance and ability to pace herself through 8 hours of hunting amazes me. Her superb intelligence as a hunting companion enables her to gauge each field situation to maximum potential, whether she needs to range out further in the open plains after Hungarian Partridge, or stay in close in the thick woods of Maine after grouse and woodcock. Her patience in the blind makes her an excellent duck dog as well. During my guided hunts, she reads the gunners (especially those inexperienced ones) and will wait for them to set up and get ready before she moves in for the flush. She will point birds in certain situations to allow gunners for more success. She hunts as a partner, and that is why I love to have her in the field with me.

Breezy's health record is outstanding. Her hip rating is excellent, her eyes clear every year, and she is still going strong at 9 years. I look forward to several more hunting seasons with her!

We lost our beloved Breezy girl in the Spring of 2008. She will forever live in our hearts. We miss you dearly "Beezles".
